Overview

What Animatica Choreographer does in Blender, and what you need to start.

Animatica Choreographer is a Blender add-on that generates character motion from a text prompt, onto the ready-made character or your own armature. You direct the shot (prompts on the timeline, key poses, waypoints and pins), Animatica Cloud or your own MMCP server makes the take, and you accept or reject it.

#What you need

  • Blender 5.0 or newer
  • A free account at animatica.ai (for Animatica Cloud)
  • Allow Online Access turned on in Blender (see Installation)

#Before you generate

  1. Install and sign in
  2. In the 3D View, open the N panel → Animatica tab — it connects on its own

The tab has four panels, top to bottom:

  • Animatica — the shot: model, character, prompt, Generate, and the review
  • Pose — the character's pose: Set Keyframe, fingers (and Marionette's handles, when it is installed)
  • Constraints — waypoints (where to stand, when) and pins (a hand or foot held in place)
  • Settings — set once and left alone, with Viewport, Posing and Advanced inside
